James Dillon

James F. "Jim" Dillon, Jr., age 77, retired 30 year veteran of the Chicago Police Department and United States Marine Corps Veteran passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022. Jim was the beloved husband of Abigail M. "Gail", nee Wallace, for 54 wonderful years; loving father of Jimmie (Erica), Michael (Danielle), Abbie and Danny (Michelle) Dillon and Katie (Dan) Helms; dearest son of the late Harriet and James F., Sr.; cherished grandfather of Patrick and Erin Dillon, Valerie Mateo and Gavin Dillon; dear brother of Janet (Charles) Clancy and Jean (John) Aubin; fond uncle of many. Visitation Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home, and proceed to St. Francis Borgia Church in Chicago for Mass at 11:30 a.m. The interment will be private.
