James Ackerman, Age 79. Beloved husband of Beatrice. Loving father of Vince (Suzanne), Ron (Christen), James (Angela), Glenn, Johnny (Ingrid), Pat (Kris) and Tammy Ackerman. Cherished grandfather of ten. Adored son of the late Harold Ackerman and the late Jean (nee Cerone) Salice. Dear brother of the late Shirley Grover. Fond brother-in-law, cousin and uncle to many. Member of International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 2. Visitation Wednesday Feb. 11 from 3 to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Thursday 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home and will then proceed to St. William Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
