Irene Maj

Irene A. Maj, nee Wozny, age 92, passed away on February 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Irene was the beloved wife of 49 years to the late Joseph; loving mother of Kenneth (Frances) May, Diane (Dr. James) Swan and her late infant son Joseph Jr.; cherished grandmother of Melissa (Chad) Roberts and Michael May; dearest sister of Dolores Zingler and the late Mitchel, Peter, Ed, Jean and Emily; fond aunt of many. Irene will be missed by her feathered friend 'Angel'. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Celestine Church, in Elmwood Park, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
