Irene Cortez Castillo, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2022. Irene was the beloved wife of the late Roberto; loving mother of Carlo (Janice) and Allen Castillo; cherished grandmother of Charles, Lillian and Samantha; dear sister of Roger (Elenita) and the late Roger (Enriqueta) Cortez; fond aunt of many. Visitation Friday, January 14, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and proceed to St. Eugene Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
