Idamarie Nolan, born 1931 to the late Achille and the late Carmella Ruffolo in Calabria, Italy. She traveled to America at age 5 along with her brothers, the late Louis (Leda) and the late Joseph (Natalie). As life in America was established her family had another son, James (Florence), who she adored. Soon she met her husband, the late Lt. Donald E. Nolan, C.F.D. and her family grew to include her in-laws, the late James and the late Lillian Nolan, as well as brothers-in-law, the late James, the late Edward, C.F.D. (Bernadette) and William, C.F.D (the late Irene). She became a proud mother to Carolynn and the late Capt. Thomas E., C.F.D. (Frances). Idamarie was then blessed with grandchildren Thomas and Dana, the loves of her life. She had a contagious smile and was always lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors. Her warmth will be missed by many.A heartfelt thank you to all who walked along the Alzheimer's path with Idamarie, showing patience, love and laughter. Her family is especially grateful to Bernadette, the Parrillo family, Donna Dailey, Lois Blue, Shellye Pechulis, Joey Pease, C.F.D., Liz Asher, Capt. Jimmie Davis, C.F.D., Helen, Leyana, Kate and Janie Wade.Visitation will be Tuesday December 2nd from 3 - 9 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral services begin Wednesday at 9:00 am from the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady, Mother of the Church for 10:00 am Mass. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
