Born Ida Di Cristofano on June 22,1935, in Pizzone, Italy. Ida passed away peacefully in her home on January 30, 2022, at age 86. She was the youngest daughter of seven to the late Gesulina (Valentino) and Agostino Di Cristofano. Ida was the beloved and devoted wife to the late Ellio DiBenedetto. They were married on September 27,1957, and came to America in the Fall of 1959 on the SS Conte Biancamano with their eldest daughter. Her daughters, Ernestina "Tina" (Vincenzo "Vince") Di Cristofano and Anna Maria (Mike), loved her greatly and were blessed to have cared for her. She was the cherished Nonna (Grandmother) of Christiana, Angela, Anthony, Michael (Sarah), David (Kate), and Alessandra; Bisnonna (Great-Grandmother) to Addison and Boston. She was the dear sister of Ines Di Iorio (the late Vincenzo), Teodora Mancini (the late Luigi), the late Eduardo (Livietta), the late Dante (Giuseppina), the late Nicola (the late Lina), and the late Vincenzo (Linda). She was a kind, caring aunt, great aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor to many. Ida was a generous, hospitable, patient, hardworking, and loving woman. She was a great cook, a good listener, and loved people unconditionally just like Jesus. Please keep her family in your prayers. Visitation Friday, February 11, 2022, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. William Church at 2600 N.
