Herman Cruz, 66, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2023. Beloved husband of Ruby for 46 wonderful years. Beloved son of the late Benito and Isabel Cruz. Dear brother of Ben Cruz, Albert Cruz, Maria Cruz, Gladys Cruz, Rosita Stein, and Lucy Torres; brother-in-law of Joseph (Pamela) Faulk, Betty (the late Don) Delaney, and Diane (Mike) Ryle. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Herman was a lifelong Chicagoan who was a loyal Cubs fan. He immensely enjoyed family vacations, playing a game of golf, and never missed an opportunity to make a reference to Seinfeld. Herman worked his way up from the mailroom at Fireman’s Fund, to an executive vice president in ocean marine insurance industry. He worked at Marsh McLennan for 26 years and thoroughly enjoyed his work and his coworkers. Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, November 18, from 11:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m., at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Interment private.
