Helen Wilkens

Helen W. Wilkens, 69, of Chicago passed away peacefully from natural causes at her home June 28, 2023.
Beloved daughter of the late Herman and the late Mary Wilkens; beloved sister of Mary Ann (Hon. Patrick J.) Levar, William M.D. (Amoret) and Rick (Laura) Wilkens; dearest aunt of Patrick, Jr. (Jeanene) Levar, Michelle Levar (Louis Koroyanis), Ryan Levar (Michael Vollmer) and Julie (Eric) Fulara, Shannon and Brendan Wilkens, Elaina and Marisa Wilkens and great-aunt of Casey Koroyanis, Patrick Robert, Clare, Maeve Levar, Eleanor and Martin Fulara; fond cousin to many in Lengerich, Neuborger, Werlte and Papenburg Germany and dear friend to many.
The simplest pleasures in life; including her collection of Hummels, her love for Disney and the Hallmark Channel, brought great joy to Helen. Although being brought into this world with many challenges, she had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities and her family. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed. Visitation will be Wednesday July 5, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706.
