Helen Migon

Helen M.  Migon nee Schaffer 56 of Harwood Heights. At Peace with Christ Thursday, Sepember 11, 2025. Beloved wife of Robert. Beloved daughter of the late Frank Schaffer and the late Helen Schaffer nee Ptaszek.  Beloved niece, cousin, and friend to many.

Helen's deep devotion in her faith carried her through her short, but hard battle with cancer. Helen was a dedicated elementary school teacher at St. Hyacinth Catholic School, and continued on as a substitute elementary teacher. Helen joyfully taught School of Religion (CCD) classes at St. Monica's Parish.  She loved participating in the St. Monica"s events and the Women's Bible Study Group. Helen will be missed,and remembered for her very kind and generous heart, her beautiful soul, her great smile, her uplifting laugh, great sense of humor, and her love for all. Visitation Wednesday, September 17 ^th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cumberland Chapels (FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS) 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Services Begin: Thursday 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home and will proceed to St. Monica Church. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M.. The burial will take place t the Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
