Harriet Coffelt, (Born as Jadwiga Piasecki on October 22, 1948 in Hahn, Germany) Beloved daughter of Genowefa nee Szamolek (Leon) Wojewnik and the late Marian Piasecki. Sister of the late Christine Ranieri and is survived by her half brothers, Richard (Luz) Wojewnik & Henry (Jill) Jenik and her step-brother Ronald Egan. Fond aunt of Holly Jenik and sister in law of Tita Alonsagay. Harriet, her sister Christine, and mother came to the United States in 1958 as refugees. Harriet attended Alvernia High School in Chicago during the 1960’s. She worked in marketing in list sales the last 30 years most recently with R. R. Donnelly. She has been retired the last 4 years. At one point in her life, Harriet enjoyed doing crafts and participating in numerous craft shows. Harriet was very close with her sister Christine until she passed. They both were inseparable and were the best of friends. Harriet loved her two dogs Max and Buster and cared for them as if they were her children. Harriet was always there for her family and sacrificed her time to help in time of need. She was always the one to count on for support, stability and common sense. Her brothers Rich and Henry enjoyed joking with her and loved her sarcasm and spontaneous sense of humor. Harriet enjoyed herself and seemed stress free when socializing with her sister-in-laws Luz, Jill, and Tita. Harriet loved her niece Holly who as a child was always excited to see Auntie Harriet. Harriet loved her mother immensely, always wishing the best for her and tried to hide her health problems from her until the end.
