Gregory Smits

Gregory Donald Smits was the beloved husband, best friend and pillar of strength for Cheryl. Celebrated 44 years of a wonderful marriage on October 1st. Gregg passed away suddenly on October 3rd.He is the son of the late Alton and Jane Smits and son-in-law of the late Albert and Edith Corrado. Brother of Timothy (Starla) and brother-in-law to Mark (Carole) Corrado. "Uncle Goosh" to Kristin, Valerie, Alyssa, Jacob, Daniel and Rebecca. Great Uncle to Landon, Reese, Gavin, Milo, Owen, Noah, Makai and Ezekiel. Gregg was a graduate of Lane Tech, class of 1971. He recently retired as owner of Marshall Photographer. He was a member of ITAM Post 10 and IAET, where he formed many friendships. Gregg was a kind man and always ready to help others. He left us too soon and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Quinn Center at St. Eulalia Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge IL, 60706. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Monday at the funeral home and proceed to St. Eugene Church for 11:00 am Mass. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, Il.
