Giuseppe Cappelluti

Giuseppe Cappelluti, age 79, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 24, 1946, in Bari, Italy, Giuseppe brought with him a strong heart, steady hands, and an unwavering devotion to family when he came to the United States to build a better life.A devoted husband to his life-long love Giuseppina, Giuseppe was the proud father of Salvatore (Tracy Alfano), Domenic (Gina), and Joey (Angela), and the beloved Nonno to Domenic, Joseph, Nicholas, Marino, Gianni, Giorgio, Giuliano, and Celine. His legacy lives on through the lives of his children and grandchildren, who carry with them his work ethic, kindness, humor, and love of family.  Giuseppe worked for many years as a skilled die maker at Hart Schaffner Marx. But his true passion came to life as the best barista, known for making the perfect espresso and cappuccino — always served with a warm smile and a funny joke.  Nothing brought him more joy than eating great food with his family, fishing with his sons and friends, telling stories, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He was a man of tradition, integrity, and quiet strength — the kind of man who never asked for much, but gave everything to the people he loved.  His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to warm the hearts of all who knew him.

Family and Friends are to meet for Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rosalie Catholic Church, 4401 N. Oak Park Ave., Harwood Heights, IL 60706.  Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Immaculate Heart of Mary Mausoleum.
