Giovanni Randazzo, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 20, 1942, in Caccamo, Sicily, Giovanni was the beloved son of the late Mateo and the late Rosaria (Guzzino) Randazzo. He later made his home on the northwest side of Chicago, where he built a life centered on faith, family, and community.
Giovanni was a devoted and active member of Immaculate Conception Parish and St. William Church in the Galewood neighborhood. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and a source of strength to all who knew him.
He was the beloved husband of Maria (née Concialdi) for 56 cherished years. A loving and devoted father, Giovanni is survived by his children: Matthew (April), Rose (Joe), John (Cori), Caroline (Dave), and Eva (Danny). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jonathon, Andrew, Gabriella, Sincere, Isaiah, Emily, Julia, Daniella, Alyssa, Arthur, Edward, and Eloise, each of whom brought him great joy.
Giovanni will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his strong faith, and his warm, generous spirit. His legacy lives on in the lives of all who were blessed to know and love him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral prayers at 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, Illinois. The funeral procession will then proceed to St. William Church for a 12:00 noon Mass. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Immaculate Heart of Mary Mausoleum, in Des Plaines, Illinois.
Giovanni will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
