Giovanni Diomede, 90, passed away February 18, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Cecilia for 60 wonderful years. Loving father of Nicola (Patti) Diomede and Angela (Chris) Ferraro. Cherished grandfather of Cecilia and Giovanni. Dear brother of Pasqua (the late Nicola), the late Paolo (Anna), the late Domenico (the late Caterina), the late Giuseppe (the late Angela), the late Giovanna (the late Giuseppe), the late Luigi (the late Angela). Fond uncle of many. Giovanni was an avid gardener or rather farmer, known for the huge garden he cultivated in his backyard, including a large fig tree, and found great joy in sharing his harvests with everyone. His family will remember him for his strong-willed but loving personality and will miss him greatly. Visitation will be Friday, March 8 ^th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to St. William Church, Chicago, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
