Gintautas D. Milasius, age 81, passed away on September 12, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Lucille (nee Rizzo). Loving father of Elizabeth Milasius (Ron Krema), Thomas (Joan Green) Milasius, Michael (Donna) Milasius and Jennifer Carlson. Fond grandfather of Stephanie, Jessica, Jamie, Tony and Tiffany. Great grandfather of Shea. Dear brother of Rita (Walter) Keehn and the late Algimantas Milasius. Special nieces are Angela Keehn, Sharon Nolte and Linda Faleni. Gintautas (Gene) Milasius died from complications after successful surgery, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, September 12, 2019. Gintautas immigrated to America after WWII as a young teenager, and he became a successful husband, father of 4 children, full-time printer and part-time auto mechanic. He was devoted to his father, brother, and sister; many others became his friend through his participation in the radio controlled plane and boat community. His gentle spirit and willingness to help others will be remembered by his sister, children, grandchildren, nieces and grand nieces, friends and neighbors. Visitation Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Chicago, il.
