Gerry Bertacchi

Gerry David Bertacchi, age 66, passed away at his home in Elgin, IL on June 26th, 2023. He was the loving father of Adam Bertacchi, Cassandra (Taylor) Eaton, Mario Bertacchi and Iolanda Bertacchi, dearest son of Marisa Rosignoli and the late Adolph Bertacchi, and brother to Carla (Erwin) Hornsberger & Laura Fisher. There are no formal wake or funeral services being held as he did not wish to have those.

Gerry was renowned for his patient ear that was always available, and only a phone call away. He always carried his boyhood enthusiasm for aviation, which also fueled his love of traveling the world. But nowhere was held so high in his heart as Italy, where he often took his beloved children on holiday. Most of all, he and his love of the culinary will be missed at family gatherings for meals. In remembrance of which, his family will be holding a celebration of life party at a date to be determined.
