Gerald J. O'Neill, age 58, at rest on February 9, 2025 from his residence in Arlington Heights, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family. Gerald was born on February 7, 1967 and resided in Chicago up until 2024 when he moved closer to family. Gerald was a Chicago Native always, but found much peace and happiness in Arlington Heights. Gerald in the treasured son of Noreen (nee Thornton) O'Neill of Galway, Ireland and the late Danny O'Neill of Kerry Ireland. Gerald is the fourth child of eight, Ann (Patrick) Joyce, John (Donna), Joan (Tony) Spedale, the late Frances , Peggy, , Noreen (Derek) Farrell and Patty. Loving uncle to 15 nieces and nephews and great uncle to Calvin.

Gerald's greatest passion was for Chicago sports. The Cubs and Bears where his top love. He loved Clint Eastwood movies and was a big big fan of his birthday's. Gerald's smile was full of positive energy. He taught us much and he never gave up, his character was outstanding. He kept God close and we are better for having known him. Thank you God for Gerald being ours. God bless all for your prayers.

Visitation for Gerald will take place on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Mary , Undoer of Knots Parish at St. Robert Bellarmine Church 4646 N Austin Ave, Chicago, IL 60630. Interment will be private.
