George (Kevork) Kaprelian passed away in his home on Sunday, June 28 at the age of 69, following a courageous six-year battle with leukemia. George was a devoted son of the late Magar and Armenouhi; beloved brother of Mary (Siva) Martin, Marty (Jean) and Robert (Victoria); loving uncle to nephews and nieces and cherished friend to many. As a guidance counselor for 30 years at City Colleges of Chicago, George profoundly touched the lives of hundreds of students. George graciously and generously shared his talents with those with whom he came in contact. His creativity and craftsmanship were reflected in numerous restoration projects. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Thursday, July 2 from 3 to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Dan Gark Service (Wake Service) at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Friday 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home and will then proceed to St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church, 6700 W.
