George Hamilton

George J. Hamilton, age 89, at rest on July 14th, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Eleanore (Steiner) Hamilton. Loving father of Sharon Dietrich (Dan) and Keith Hamilton (Kathy). Cherished grandfather of Ryan Hamilton. Dear brother of the late Betty May Cormier (Warren), brother-in-law to Shirley Steiner and the late Herman Steiner. He positively impacted the lives of thousands as a coach, teammate, mentor, uncle, cousin and friend. George proudly served in the Armed Forces during the Korean War. As a successful Vice-President of Sales & Operations for Zenith (Canada and Military), George captivated large audiences and traveled the world, while providing service to the television giant company. He was well respected as a great public speaker and presenter during his 35 years of service. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Wednesday, beginning from the funeral home at 10:00 am and will then proceed to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for 11:00 am Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. George was a great athlete, championship-level bowler and proud veteran.
