Gene Swytnyk

Gene Swytnyk, age 51, passed away March 3, 2016. Beloved son of the late Bohdan and Orysia; dear brother of George (Lida) Swytnyk & Christine (Michael) Kinal; fond uncle of Paul (Brittany), Andrea (Mark) Mulyk, Lisa, Katherine (Shawn) Fortman and Steven; loving nephew of aunt Nadja Dubycky, Marie Swyntuch, and uncle Ihor (Irene) Miakush; dearest cousin of Alice (George) Kuch, Roman (Ivanka) Swyntuch, Lydia Dubycky, and Daniel (Larissa) Miakush. Visitation, Sunday March 6th, 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Panachyda Service at 5:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin 9:00 a.m. Monday March 7th, at the funeral home and will proceed to St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church for Service at 10:00 a.m. Entombment St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Mausoleum. All monetary contributions will be donated in Gene's memory to MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas to be used towards pancreatic cancer research.
