Gene Ricciardi, 88, born in Naples, Italy; Beloved husband of Clara nee Finiello; Cherished father of Michael (Victoria) Ricciardi, Mary Lou (David) Merryman, Eugene (Patricia) Ricciardi and Frank (Laura) Ricciardi; Loving grandfather of Katie, Christopher, Andrea, David, Bryant, Nicholas, Matthew, Joseph, Alex, Michael, Thomas and Sarah and great-grandfather of Madison; Dear brother-in-law of Benilda Matera; Special uncle to Anna Marie (Mark) Videka and great-uncle to Anthony and Danielle. Also survived by his siblings in Italy. Gene always had a smile and he truly enjoyed his life, surrounded by his loving family, his dear friends and good food. Visitation Friday March 21st from 3 -9 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral service begins Saturday at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home proceeding to St. Vincent Ferrer Church in River Forest for 10:00 a.m. Mass.
