Garrett Brodersen

Garrett Logan Brodersen, 16, lost his life unexpectedly due to a car accident on August 12, 2019. Beloved son of Eric (CFD) and Jonna (nee Biggs.) Loving brother of Gavin and Dallas Brodersen. Cherished grandson of Heinz and Hildegard Brodersen and the late Clayton Raymond and the late Janet (nee Kendzy) Biggs. Dear nephew of Jessica (nee Biggs) (Dan) Bacoulis, Ernie (Tricia nee Guth) Brodersen, Melany (nee Brodersen) (Tony) Maneck. Cousin of Jack, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Brian, Brittany, Lars and Brayden. Garrett would have been a junior at Lane Tech High School and was an accomplished pianist and frequently played piano for many church functions and services. Garrett was smart, kind, thoughtful, and caring, with a rare musical talent. Garrett was loved and admired by his whole family. Garrett deeply loved and cherished his life and everyone in it. He considered the congregation of Irving Park Lutheran Church, his friends from Lane and other parts of his short, but full life to be his extended family. Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Lying in State on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Irving Park Lutheran Church, Chicago. Interment will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Chicago.
