Gaetano Saccomanno

Guy G. Saccomanno, age 94, Veteran of WW II, beloved husband of the late Mary, nee Casali; loving father of Louise, Joanne (Michael Falcone), and Joseph (Susan); proud grandfather of Jami, Matthew, Andrew and the late Joey; dear brother of Gerald, the late Joseph, Mary and Frank. A dedicated husband, Guy cherished his wife of 58 years, and they spent their retirement years as world travelers. A devoted family man, he loved nothing more than spending time with his children and babysitting his grandchildren. An educator for many years, Guy was respected and loved by the generations of students he taught. Visitation Thursday, Oct. 4 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels (FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS), 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Friday, 8:30 a.m., from the funeral home, proceeding to Holy Cross Church, Deerfield. Mass 10 a.m. Entombment with military honors at All Saint Cemetery Immaculate Heart of Mary Mausoleum. Guy was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree.
