Frank J. Lukes, 57, of Park Ridge, IL, passed away on May 12 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, after a long and courageous battle with Esophageal Cancer. Mr. Lukes was born in Chicago, IL on September 21, 1954, the son of the late Frank Lukes and Geraldine Zagodny Lukes. After attending West Leyden High School, he received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then graduated from The John Marshall Law School, where he received a Juris Doctor. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the FBI Academy. He then served as an FBI Special Agent for 25 years in the Chicago Office, retiring in 2005. Frank is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mayra, and by his two children, Genevieve and Frank. He is also survived by his siblings Jeff (Patti) Lukes, Cheryl (Jeff) Washburn and numerous nieces and nephews. His family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of the University of Chicago Medical Center and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. More than treating him as a patient, they treated him as their friend. With profound gratitude from the bottom of our hearts, we are forever grateful. On Saturday, May 19, at 9am, a Prayer Service will be held at Cumberland Chapels, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am, at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 7958 W. Foster Ave., Chicago, IL.
