Francis Gondela

Frank M. Gondela, age 96, U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War 2 stationed in Batangas, Philippines, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023. Frank was the beloved husband of Beverly P., nee Morgan, for 61 wonderful years; loving father of Barbara L. and Craig M. (Cynthia) Gondela and Denise M. (Jeffrey) Diessel-Weck; dearest son of the late Irene and Frank Gondela; cherished grandfather of Jackson Gondela-Haack, Andrew Gondela, Liam Weck, Grace Gondela, Kristoffer Diessel and Bergen Weck; dear brother in-law of the late Richard A. (Joan) Morgan; favorite uncle of Jeffrey, Brandon and Brooke.

For over 50 years , Frank was owner & president of Service Stamp Works in Chicago. In retirement, Frank volunteered for many years at Hines V.A. Hospital. He was a member of Chicago Society PNA. He was a barbershop singer and was a member of SPEBSQSA. Frank was also a graduate of Drake University and ran hurdles in the Drake relays.
