Frances Dykema

Frances V. Schubert Dykema, nee Eiermann, 90, formerly of Naperville. Wife of 25 years to the late Wallace Schubert and then 20 years to the late Andrew Dykema. Mother of William Schubert (Kathryn), Darlene (Paul Ayers), Gail (Robert Ford) and Scott Schubert (Shari). Grandmother of Marika, Kate, Alexandra, Galen, Colin, Miranda, Brinkley, and Jordan. Great grandmother of Annabelle, Victor, and Caroline. Sister of the late Dorothy Thomas and survived by sisters Patricia Nelson and Loretta Glowacki. As a teen, Fran joined Evangelical Lutheran Church of Peace in Chicago where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a member of Job’s Daughters and also sang in the Apollo Chorus of Chicago. Fran played piano and sang in her church choirs which included Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights and Christ Church of Oak Brook. She was an avid bowler, learned to golf later in life, and continued working part time into her mid-80s.Visitation Friday, January 12, 2018 from 3 until 9 PM at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Avenue, Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Services begin Saturday at 9 AM at the funeral home until time of Chapel Service at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
