Frances Buscemi

Frances Buscemi, nee Mazzulla, age 77, passed away peacefully in the early morning on September 19, 2022 in the presence of her devoted and loving husband and daughters. She fought a long and hard battle with cancer, starting in 2012. Through this battle, she never gave up, she always stayed positive for her family. Her multiple myeloma was in remission for 10 years, but unfortunately this time the battle was too much. In her last hours, she was surrounded by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law. The beautiful rosary was prayed for one last time together.
Frances is the beloved wife of Norman for 56 wonderfully blessed years; loving mother of Marci C. Buscemi and Gina N. (Al) Malfitano; dearest daughter of the late Helen and Pasquale Mazzulla; cherished grandmother of Michael and Megan Letheby, Dominick, Sophia and Alina Malfitano; dear sister of Michael and Perry (Barbara) Mazzulla. Fran worked for many years in sales and management. She was a strong leader, motivator and mentor to many. She succeeded in everything she did. She was respected and admired by many.
Visitation Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 9:00AM. until 11:00AM at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. We will then proceed to St. Constance Catholic Church in Chicago for Mass at 11:30AM. The interment will be private at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
