Fifetta Scafidi, age 71, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026. Fifetta was born on November 30, 1954, in Cinisi, Sicily, Italy, to the late Salvatore and the late Girolama Leone.
Fifetta was the loving mother of Patricia Dantes (Edward Dantes) and Salvatore Scafidi. She was the cherished grandmother of Daniel, Dianna, and Evan, who brought great joy and happiness into her life. She treasured every moment spent with her family and was a wonderful grandmother whose love and devotion will remain in their hearts forever.
Fifetta was the beloved sister of Filocia (the late Pete) Biundo and Paolo (Ninfa) Leone. She was the fond aunt of Mimma (Frank) Keller, Gaby Biundo, Lorenzo Biundo, Linda (the late John) Keresi, Salvatore (Kim) Leone, Geraldine (Andy) Jozwik, and Fara (Vince) Librizzi, and a great aunt to many great nieces and great nephews.
Fifetta found joy in the simple things in life. She was a wonderful cook who took pride in preparing delicious meals for the people she loved. She also had a special love for gardening and her flowers, finding happiness in caring for and watching them bloom. Above all, Fifetta loved her family deeply. Her kindness, warmth, and loving presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her.
Fifetta will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Though she is no longer with them, the love she gave so freely and the beautiful memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
