Evelyn A. Jachim nee Gruszka, 93, of Norridge, IL, passed away on July 20, 2024. Dearest sweetheart of the late Edwin. Loving mom of Laurie (John) Kozlowski, Susan (Robert) Corte, Robert (Debra) Jachim, Linda (John) Giuliano, and Joseph Albert Jachim. Adored grandma of Jason (Lorelei) and Sara Kozlowski; Diana (Vincent) Bicicchi; Lauren (Conway) Bennett; Daniel (Corinne), Scott (Samantha), and Matthew (Stefanie) Corte; Katie, Michael, Kelly, and Ann Marie Giuliano. Sweetest great-grandma of Maxwell and Brianna Kozlowski; Graham, Brooks, Clark, and Grace Evelyn Bicicchi; Josephine and Wells Bennett; Nolan and Julian Corte. Dear sister of Walter (Pat) Gruszka; sister-in-law of Alice (the late Chester) Gruszka; cousin of Sister Doloria Kosiek; fond auntie of many nieces and nephews. She was a most warm and welcoming gentle woman. Her home was always open to all where family, friends, and love were abundant. She was famous for her cookies and pierogi. Our mom loved a party - and she danced! She loved the Lord and enjoyed a healthy, full life. Mom taught her 5 children well and we thank her for her love and wisdom. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral services are private.
