Eugene Sakowski

Eugene Sakowski, 82, passed away October 10, 2026. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.  Devoted husband of Maureen for 56 wonderful years. Loving father of Richard Sakowski and Brian Sakowski. Eugene was a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service for many, many years; a devoted member of the Harwood Heights Senior Club, and a faithful Catholic. Visitation will be Sunday, October 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to St. Rosalie Catholic Church, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
