Elzbieta Mendron

Elzbieta "Ela" Mendron (Filas), age 54, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2026. Ela was the beloved wife of Artur for 26 wonderful years; loving mother of Olivia and Karina Mendron; dear daughter of the late Helena and Jozef Filas; dearest sister of Barbara (Ryszard) Kaczor, Andrzej (Alicja) Filas, Sabina (Aleksander) Juranek, Bogdan (Agnieszka) Filas, Krzystof (Wioletta) and Ryszard (Rossy) Filas. She was a fond cousin, aunt and friend of many.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, a truly remarkable woman whose kindness touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was, in every sense of the word, a beautiful person. Her heart was always open to others, and she never hesitated to help someone in need. Whether through a simple act of kindness, a listening ear, a comforting word, or a helping hand, she gave freely and expected nothing in return.

She had a rare gift for making people feel cared for, valued, and loved. Her compassion knew no limits, and she seemed to see the good in everyone.

She was the kindest person on this planet, and her love will remain with us in countless ways. We will remember her in the lessons she taught us, in the kindness she showed others, and in the love she gave so generously every day.

Although our hearts are broken by her absence, we are deeply grateful for the years we were blessed to have her. Her life was a gift, her memory is a treasure, and her love will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be missed beyond words, but she will never be forgotten.

Elżbieta „Ela” Mendron (z domu Filas), lat 54, zmarła niespodziewanie 2 września 2026 roku.

Ela była ukochaną żoną Artura, z którym przeżyła 26 wspaniałych lat; kochającą mamą Olivii i Kariny Mendron; ukochaną córką śp. Heleny i Józefa Filas; najdroższą siostrą Barbary (Ryszard) Kaczor, Andrzeja (Alicja) Filas, Sabiny (Aleksander) Juranek, Bogdana (Agnieszka) Filas, Krzysztofa (Wioletta) oraz Ryszarda (Rossy) Filas. Była również ukochaną kuzynką, ciocią i przyjaciółką wielu osób.

Z głębokim smutkiem żegnamy naszą ukochaną mamę — niezwykłą kobietę, której dobroć dotknęła serc każdego, kto miał szczęście ją poznać.

Ela była pięknym człowiekiem pod każdym względem. Jej serce zawsze było otwarte na innych i nigdy nie wahała się pomóc komuś, kto znalazł się w potrzebie. Czy był to drobny gest dobroci, uważne wysłuchanie, pocieszające słowo czy wyciągnięta pomocna dłoń — zawsze dawała z siebie wszystko, nie oczekując niczego w zamian.

Miała niezwykły dar sprawiania, że inni czuli się otoczeni troską, ważni i kochani. Jej współczucie nie znało granic, a w każdym człowieku potrafiła dostrzec dobro.

Była najżyczliwszą osobą na świecie, a jej miłość pozostanie z nami na niezliczone sposoby. Będziemy o niej pamiętać poprzez wartości, których nas nauczyła, dobroć, którą okazywała innym, oraz miłość, którą każdego dnia tak hojnie dawała.

Choć nasze serca są przepełnione bólem po jej odejściu, jesteśmy głęboko wdzięczni za wszystkie lata, które dane nam było z nią przeżyć. Jej życie było darem, jej pamięć jest skarbem, a jej miłość na zawsze pozostanie w sercach wszystkich, którzy ją znali.

Będzie nam jej brakowało bardziej, niż potrafią wyrazić słowa, ale nigdy o niej nie zapomnimy.

Visitation Friday, September 11, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Francis Borgia Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m. All services will conclude following mass and the interment will be private.
