On June 5, after a short illness, Elizabeth (Liz) peacefully passed away surrounded by her family.
Born in Chicago, Liz at a very young age wanted to become a flight attendant. But in order to fulfill her lifelong dream she first had to become an extreme athlete where during her Schurz High School career she was an astute swimmer, preformed in several plays, and even preformed for the High School Orchestra. After receiving several BA degrees, she started paving the road to her dream of becoming a Flight Attendant.
January 31, 1989 was when she boarded her first plan as a trainee.
Over her 35-year career with United Airlines, she has traveled the world over and met many people along the way. She was on a short hiatus when she had her beautiful daughter Caitlin, and moved to Morrisville VT where she raised Caitlin for the next 20 years.
It wasn’t until 2010 on a routine 3-day trip to Moscow, suddenly turned in a 9-day trip, Liz had become acquainted with Captain Donald Novak, and realized he was THE LOVE OF HER LIFE, and were married 2 years later.
Liz then joined Donald in Grand Rapids Mi where became avid scuba divers with the United Dive Club, they also enjoyed biking, hiking, riding motorcycles, berry picking, and concert going. All while both still maintaining their flying careers. Many times, they would work their schedules to be on the same flights of international travel. Together they have seen the world.
