Eleanor Vogel

Eleanor Bernice Vogel, nee Morrone, age 87, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Robert A., Sr.; loving mother of Robert A., Jr. (Kim), James R. and Craig S. (Karen Breen Vogel) Vogel; dearest daughter of the late Angelina and James Morrone; cherished grandmother of Robert A., III (Enza) and Amy Vogel, Rachel (Ryan) Lynn, Brett Anderson (Lindsay Nugent); great grandmother of Isabella, Daniela, Arielle, Lucy, Maximus, Nora, Shea and Sydney; dear sister of the late Mario, Arthur and Ernest Morrone; fond aunt of many. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all her caregivers and friends, especially Nona and Claudia, for the excellent care they provided. Eleanor was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Beatrice Church in Schiller Park and had a long list of prayers she offered daily. Eleanor also spent her retirement years volunteering at the church and school and could always be counted on for all bake sales. Visitation Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to Holy Virgin Martyrs (St. Beatrice Church) in Schiller Park for Mass at 9:30 a.m. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
