Elaine Tagliavia

Elaine Tagliavia, age 85. nee DeCesare. Beloved wife of the late Guy P. Tagliavia; loving mother of Diane (Ira) Massarsky, Carol Pentimone, Marianne (Craig) Wirth, Guy (Terri) Tagliavia, Laura Tagliavia, and Elaine (Darrin) Bareck; Cherished Nonni of Julie, Amy, Ben, Steven, Sarah, Carla, Michelle, Joe, Brianna, Marie, and Anthony; Dear twin sister of Gloria (late Nick) DePino. Elaine was preceded in death by siblings Ida (Mario) Pollacchi and Pio (Madeline) DeCesare. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to Elaine’s caregiver, Marilou Leones, for 3 yrs of faithful and dedicated service. Elaine was a hardworking and precious mother of six children as well as a loving and adored Nonni of 11 grandchildren. She was an active member of the Catholic Woman’s Club at St. John Brebeuf Church and a longtime member of the Line & Anchor Yacht Club. Visitation Wednesday Sept. 9 from 3 to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Funeral Thursday 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home and will then proceed to St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge for Mass at 10:15 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
