Elaine Hosp

Elaine R. Hosp, 86, of River Grove, Illinois, passed away on February 25, 2025 at 5:43 a.m. at Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 10, 1938, the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Taugner) Lokcik. A fiercely-independent woman, she worked many jobs over her lifetime, most notably at Leaf Confectionery as a bookkeeper. She was also an avid, 20-year member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 780 of River Grove. A mom of four children with her former husband, the late Marvin F. Hosp (Denise and her daughter, Deirdre Kahling), she is survived by: Mark (Laurie) Hosp; Melody Hosp; Marlene (Larry) Higham; and Michael (Shari) Hosp as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Laura O’Mara, Joann Lokcik and Wayne (Karen) Lokcik. Cremation rites accorded privately by Cumberland Chapels. The family will be honoring her life privately but encourage loved ones to remember the cherished moments shared.
