Edward Paszt

July 12, 1950 — August 21, 2023

Edward “Eddie” Paszt Jr. passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2023. Born in Washington, North Carolina, the son of Edward Paszt and Alfreda Paszt.  He married Mary Rita Burris, of Chicago on Sept. 30, 1973.  Survived by his children: Christina Ortinau, Michele (Thomas) Blackstone, Jonathan (Alexandra) Paszt. Grandchildren: Nathan & Ryan Ortinau and Haley, Brianna, & Ethan Blackstone. Uncle to many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Bachman (Paszt) and brother Thaddeus Kowalik. Ed was a loyal Sox fan, loved fishing, gardening and western movies and tv shows. He was a member of American Legion post 974. Visitation for Ed will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. The funeral will take place on Friday, begininng at the funeral home at 10:00 am and then proceed to Queen of Peace Parish, St. Eugene Church, for 11:00 am Mass. Interment will be private.
