Edward Dallas Parker, age 69 of Chicago, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, December 28th 2016. Born May 21, 1947, in Chicago, IL. He was employed by Addison Electric for 20 years. The Addison Electric family has very deep sentiments for Ed and is quoted as saying, ‘Ed was the pseudo older brother I never had. He taught me everything I know’. Ed found great pride in his work and held his work family very near and dear to his heart. Ed enjoyed many pastimes, including an enormous passion for racing, train locomotives, boating, annual family trips to Tomahawk and fixing everything and anything. There wasn’t a trinket or motor Ed couldn’t dissemble and put back together. He was a kind and humble man, a man of deep wisdom and love for his wife and children. He found great joy simply sitting around the dinner table observing the interactions of his children, their spouses and his grandchildren. Ed enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Beloved husband of 46 years to Mary nee Corso. Loving father of Pearl (Mat) Taylor, John (Maura) Parker and Michelle (Dore) Parker. Cherished grandfather of Gianna, Kaitlyn, Anthony, Gwen and Eddie.
