Edward A. Muszynski
Edward A. Muszynski, age 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Ed was the dearest son of the late Edward Muszynski and the late Marion Muszynski (nee Ponsonby). Ed was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished brother, and dear uncle whose kindness, dedication, and service touched the lives of many.
Ed was the loving husband of Jill Riend-Muszynski. He was the beloved father of Brittany (Patrick), Jessica (Jason), Michelle (Richard), and Amanda. Dearest grandfather of Brooke Ryan and Mikayla Taylor. Eldest brother of John (Jay), Jim (Harry), and Tom (Terri). Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Edward dedicated many years of his life to serving the Village of Rosemont. He proudly served as a 911 police dispatcher for 31 years and as an Auxiliary Police Officer for 36 years, where he rose to the rank of Auxiliary Captain. His commitment to helping others and serving his community was a source of great pride throughout his life. Ed's years of service reflected the kind of person he was—dependable, selfless, and always willing to be there when others needed him. In addition to his many years of service, Ed proudly served on the Rosemont School Board for 17 years, dedicating his time and leadership to the education and well-being of the children.
Above all, Ed treasured his family and the time he spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for the love he gave his family, the friendships he formed throughout his years of service, and the lasting impression he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His family will forever carry his memory in their hearts and find comfort in the many wonderful moments they shared together.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory to Almost Home Foundation almosthomefoundation.org, Animal House Shelter Animalhouseshelter.com, or Equitarian Initiative equitarianinitiative.org would be appreciated.

Ed's life was one of service, devotion, and love. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the lives he touched will remain a lasting part of his legacy. May he rest peacefully, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
