Edward Daniel Kenevan, 88, was born on August 4, 1930 in Chicago, the son of Chester and Inez. He was the fourth of five brothers (Joseph, Charles, John, Edward and Robert). Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary, and his devoted children Mary Jo Brown, Catherine (Mike Shanahan), Sue (John Orrico), Terri (Larry Ostberg), Priscilla Ingolia (Mike Brambila), Ed (Brooke), Jeanette Mason, Tony (Josephine) and Joe (Teresa). Ed was adored by his grandchildren, Josh, Matt, Katie, Jamie, Jennifer, Mary, Joe, Kim, Bill, Jean, Marc, Jim, Mike, Edward, Joseph and Jake Ryan and great-grandchildren, Sloane, Charlie, Audrey, Jayden, Gage, Hailey, Jane, Kady and Ty. He was a loving Uncle and a fine Friend to many. Ed worked hard his whole life. He was a skilled brick layer and proud of his work throughout Chicago. He especially valued the friendship of his co-workers. He was known for his jokes that brought a smile to everyone lucky enough to have known him. We will miss his wit and his sincere words of encouragement. Ed was a man of deep faith and passed into life everlasting on December 21, 2018. Visitation Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Funeral Friday, beginning at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. and then proceed to Our Lady Mother of the Church for 9:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
