Donata Guarino

On November 5th, 2024, Donata Guarino (89) passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side.



Donata was a loving mother, wife, daughter, zia, nonna, and bisnonna to many. Her life story began in Albano Di Lucania on February 14th, 1935. Donata married her husband, Rocco Domenico Guarino, and had four children. Shortly after, they moved to Chicago in search of opportunity for a united and prosperous family life. Her passion for cooking and being around friends and family will be dearly missed. Her memory and love will live on in our hearts forever.



Donata was the loved daughter of late Rocco Savino and late Maria Civita. Beloved wife of Rocco Domenico Guarino. Dear sister of late Grazia Molfese. Dear sister of late Vito Savino. Loving mother of Michele (Maria) Guarino, Vito (Lucrezia) Guarino, Maria (Luigi) Ciarfaglia, and Carmine (Evelyn) Guarino. Cherished nonna of Rocco (Michelle), Michael and Rocco (Cristina) Guarino, Valentina (Michael) Tardi, Nicole and Rebecca (Daniel) Guarino and Pasquale and Rocco Ciarfaglia. Loved Great Grandmother of Verona and Matea. Fond zia and friend to many.



Visitation Friday, November 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and the entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in River Grove. For more information call (708)456-8300.
