Donald "Don" E. Wilke, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Donald was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 1, 1962, to the late Donald “Bob” Wilke and the late Agnes (nee McNamara) Wilke.
Don is survived by his loving siblings, Robert (Patricia) Wilke, Michael Wilke, Mary (Bob) Beelen, Rita Van Vranken, and Donna (Tim) Karl. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews who will fondly remember his kindness and warmth.
Don was a proud graduate of St. Patrick High School. He was an avid Chicago sports fan and a longtime season ticket holder for the Chicago Bears, and he enjoyed attending games of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and the Chicago Cubs. Don was very active in his community, dedicating time to the March of Dimes, and proudly served as both an Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster. He worked as the property manager for St. Anthony Hospital on the west side of Chicago for nearly 50 years. Don was also a proud member of the Moose Lodge #2578 in River Grove, Illinois.
A devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Don generously gave his time to parish life and ran a bowling league for many years, building friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, Illinois 60706. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, with prayers beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church (Our Lady of Mercy Parish). Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Donald was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
