Heaven has gained an angel. Dina Dallianis (nee Metropulos), 85, beloved wife of the late William T. Dallianis and devoted mother to Thomas, passed away on November 15, 2021. She spent her final days surrounded by the love of family. Dina was born in Crystal Lake, Illinois on May 6, 1936 to Christine and Peter Metropulos. She graduated from Crystal Lake High School in 1954 and went on to work for the Illinois Bell Telephone phone company for several years as a telephone operator. She married William Dallianis in 1971, welcomed son Tommy in 1974, and lived in the Andersonville section of Chicago for many years.
Dina had a great love and devotion to her whole family. She is survived by sister Fran Pappas, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Deb Dallianis, and sister-in-law Mary Koulageorge. She was preceded by her parents, sister Bess and George Erdakos, brother Jim and Phyllis Metropulos, brother-in-law Pete Pappas, brother-in-law Harry Dallianis, and brother-in-law James Koulageorge. “Auntie Dina” was cherished by her 19 nieces and nephews. Her unconditional love was a gift to many.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:45 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery 2905 Thatcher Rd. River Grove, Illinois. Please line up along the front entrance in front of the office between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m.
