Diane Irene Witt

Diane Witt, (nee Giovingo), beloved wife of Richard Witt; dear mother of Christine and Bonnie; loving sister of Norine (Gus) Settecase, and Frank (Christine) Giovingo, Loving Aunt to Jessica (Danny) Rodriguez, Katie Settecase, Carlo (Kendra) Settecase,  Colleen (Sean) Hallfrisch, and Nick Smith. Daughter-in-law of Lorraine (the late Alphons) Witt.  Sister-in-law of Carol (Todd) Smith, Jayne (Rich) Neumann and Steve (Cathy) Witt.  Loving cousin to many, especially Sue and Patti Stevens and Bob Maleski. Diane met Richard while working as a nurse in the ER and the ICU at Resurrection Hospital and went on to raise two beautiful daughters. Diane died after a long battle with ALS surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. She deeply appreciated all the visits and help from family and friends. Many loved ones visited this last year and shared smiles with her. Cousin Sue was her last visitor just weeks before her sudden decline.

 Visitation for Diane will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from  3 to 9 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels Funeral Home, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Friday, beginning at the funeral home at 10 a.m. and then proceed to, Queen of Peace Parish at St. Eugene Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at  St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
