Diana Lee Sandow moved beyond this world on March 20, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to family. She was the steadfast mother of Richie and Becky, embracing with open arms the loving partners who became part of her family, Tamaryn and Deanna, whose unwavering love and unconditional support enriched her life in ways beyond measure. She was the guiding light to her four cherished grandchildren—Peter, Lucy, Timothy, and Alexa—and the ever-faithful companion to her beloved dog, Paisley. She is also survived by her dear brother, Jeff, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and an unbreakable bond.
Diana was a woman who carried the world in her heart yet walked it with an independent spirit. A child of the earth, a seeker of wisdom, she shaped her life with purpose, never turning away from the call to care for others. She pursued her passion for healing, earning her place as a respected RN at Community First Medical Center, where she found her true calling in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. There, she stood at the threshold of life and recovery, offering not just her skill but the depth of her compassion—her hands and heart working in quiet devotion to thousands who passed through her care.
She was the unshakable center of her family, the one who lifted others when the weight of the world grew heavy. To know Diana was to know a love that did not waver—a warmth like firelight in the night, a kindness that spoke not in grand gestures but in the small, steadfast ways that mattered most. She had a humor that arrived just when it was needed, a spark of wit that made the burdens of life lighter, a presence that reminded you: you were never alone.
In the later years of her life, her creativity blossomed in new ways, her hands turning to art, shaping beauty from metal and stone, as if each piece of jewelry she crafted held a piece of the story she lived—a story of resilience, generosity, and deep love.
Diana leaves behind more than memories; she leaves behind a way of being—a reminder to live with an open heart, to stand strong in the face of life’s storms, and to never stop creating, giving, and loving.
She was, and will always be, a force of light.
