Denise Ann Aloisio, nee Chance, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Denise was an active alumni of St. Angela School and Mother Theodore Guerin High School. She was a Eucharistic Minister and remained an involved parishioner of St. William Church, and member of the St. Rocco di Potenza Society. Denise had a fulfilling career as a Cook County Circuit Court Clerk, realized her life-long dream of visiting Ireland, and created a beautiful summer home for her family in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. She nurtured every relationship wholeheartedly, loved fiercely and gave freely of herself.
Beloved wife of Salvatore. Cherished mother of Tina (Richard Rollo) Aloisio, Salvatore (Carolyn) Aloisio, and Diana (Robert) Kaniewski. Devoted grandmother to John (Caitlin), Eleanor (Julian Becker), Annie and Sully Rollo, Gwen, Sammy, Elsie and Maggie Aloisio, and Abby Kaniewski. Loving great-grandmother to Miles and Leo Rollo. Proud sister of Don (Linda) Chance, Jack (Bonnie) Chance, Jean Whitfield, Kim (Joseph) Tullo, and Dennis (Marissa) Chance, and sister-in-law to Guy (Ivonne) Aloisio. Dedicated daughter to the late Mary Ellen & Dennis Chance and daughter-in-law to the late Tina and Sam Aloisio. Adored aunt of Christopher (Quinn), Michael (Tracy), the late Brad, Sarina, Stacey, Brittany (Joey), Makayla, Kyle, Connor, Daniel, Eddie (Julia), and Demi (Chris). Great-aunt, Godmother, life-long friend, good neighbor and soul sister to many.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to St. William Catholic Church, Chicago, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum.
