Debora M Hansen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debora M. Dukala (nee Hansen) at the age of 69. Debora was a cherished wife to her late husband, Michael Cerkowniak, and a source of unwavering love and support to her family.

As a devoted mother, Debora leaves behind her beloved children: Jennifer (John) Hansen, Jason Dukala, Jeremy (Hillary) Dukala, and Jonathon (Kimberly) Dukala. Her legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren: Jerica (John) Vaught, Frank Dukala, Michael (Mary) Dukala, Jasmine Dukala, Bentley Dukala, and Nicholas Dukala, as well as her great-grandchildren, Melanie Dukala and Jonah Dukala.

Debora was also a loving daughter to her late parents, Gustaf Hansen and Lorraine Harvey (nee Warner), and a dear sister to her siblings: David (Barry) Hansen, Laura (Greg) Kozefowicz, and the late Jerry, Wayne, Gustof, and Linda Hansen. She held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews, who will carry her memory forward.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Debora during the visitation on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels, located at 8300 W. Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706. The funeral services will commence on Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home, leading into a chapel service at 11:00 am, with interment following at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
