David Ertl

David F. Ertl, age 73.  Dear companion of the late Nancy A. Chelovich for 31 years. Son of the late Werner and Florence Ertl nee Wittke; step-son of Carole Ertl; brother to Warner Ertl, Joseph (Wanda) Ertl, Janie Guthrie, Jonathan Ertl, Steve (Lisa) Ertl, and Wally Huber; father of Timothy (Charlene) Ertl and Sandy (Stacey) Dendy; grandfather to 5 grandkids; great grandfather to 6 great grandkids; cousin and friend to many.  David served with distinction as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Vietnam from 1969-1972.  He will be sorely missed by his myriad of canine friends who knew to drag their owners to his porch gate for their daily treats.  Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the Chapel Service at 12:00 pm.  Interment to follow at Irving Park Cemetery.  For more information please call 708-456-8300.
