Daniel Cristo, Sr.

Daniel John Cristo Sr. (Danny), passed away on June 9th, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Donna Solick Cristo, & loving son, Danny Cristo Jr., Dan was predeceased by his parents Bernadette and Robert Cristo and in-laws Helen and Jack Solick. Brothers, Bob Cristo and Ken Cristo. Sister-in-law, Anita Solick Oswald and brother-in-law, Jack Solick, Nephew Anthony Cristo. He is survived by his siblings Pat Wolf, Mary Ann Ortega (David), Larry Cristo (Carol) and Rick Cristo (Angela). Sister-in law Barbara (Dan) Ryan and Cindy Cristo. Uncle to many nieces & nephews/great nieces & nephews.
Dan had numerous life-long friends including Ron Gabl, Lenny Guglielmo, Rick Rodriguez, Greg Gulik, Tony Sapienza, and Norm Neff. Dan was a star athlete at Holy Cross High School, where he lettered in football and received many scholarships. He pursued an opportunity with American Airlines where he had a successful career for 47 years and was presented with multiple awards and recognitions.
Dan achieved many accomplishments as a gifted artisan and craftsman. He designed and built his own home. Dan had several hobbies and immersed himself in his enthusiasm for woodwork, gardening, and antique cars.
Dan was an extremely talented and modest man who left an incredible mark on the people surrounding him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday June 15, 2023, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706. Family and Friends are asked to meet Friday at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon St. Hoffman Estates, IL 60169, for Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Private.
