Daniel ‘EZ’ Sako, 65, passed away July 30, 2022. Proud Chicago Police Officer for 30 years. Beloved husband of Christine nee Bellomo, and the late Kimberly. Loving father of Steven (Amanda), Laura Ashely, Alecia (Ryan), and John (Christina). Beloved son of Joanne and the late Bernard. Cherished grandfather of Evelyn, Grace, JJ, Lily, and Corbin. Dear brother of Kathleen (Mike), Jim (Tammy), and the late Rosanne. Fond uncle of David, Kristen, Kevin, and Nicholas. Member of the American Knights Motorcycle Club. Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL. Funeral services will be private. Dan was larger than life in every aspect and he enjoyed his life the very same way. When he arrived, the good times arrived with him. His love for fishing could not be measured. His love for food and his skill in the kitchen could not be matched. He put his heart and soul into everything he did. He found laughter in every day and shared it with everyone. He was someone you wanted to be around and was always one to help. He was bold, honest and stood up for what he believed in. He always wanted the best for his family and friends. Dan built a wonderful life filled with people who loved him and who will carry those memories forever. His absence will be noticed and his presence will be missed dearly.
