Cynthia Szajer

Cynthia Szajer, (nee Beck), age 74 of Elmwood Park, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. Cynthia was born on November 4, 1950. She was the beloved wife of Edward for 26 devoted years; loving mother of Joseph (Michelle) Larucci, Caterina (Patrick) Swaggerty, Nick (April) Larucci and Edward Jr. (Jeanette) Szajer; cherished grandmother of Gia, Natalie, Nicky, Patrick, Danielle, and Benjamin, who were the light of her life. Cynthia is survived by many beloved siblings, and she was a loving aunt and cherished friend to countless others.

Cynthia had a compassionate soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. Whether nurturing her children, supporting her family and friends, or offering a helping hand to those in need, her unwavering love and devotion were felt by all who knew her. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Cynthia's love and light will continue to guide us.  As the gracious heart at the center of her family, her memory will live on through the countless stories and memories shared by those who loved her. We will miss her more than words can express, but we find comfort in knowing that her love will remain forever in our hearts.

Family and friends are asked to gather at St. Beatrice Church (Holy Virgin Martyrs Parish) 4141 Wagner Ave., Schiller Park, IL on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:50 a.m. for a 12:00 noon Memorial Mass. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating and honoring her life and legacy.
